About Us

Ang’ata means Wilderness in Maa, the language of the Maasai, it is also a region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ang’ata Camps

was founded in 2011 strategically filling the missing segment between low end and high luxury accommodations available at that time on the northern Safari circuit.

Our first Ang’ata Camp opened in Ndutu in December that year in time for the Great Wildebeest Migration. We started out with 8 Guest tents a Dining tent, a small bush kitchen and a few staff tents.

Accommodations

The idea behind ‘Ang’ata Camps’ providing medium high accommodations in the National Parks and Conservation Areas of Tanzania was to stay simple and provide everything one would need to feel comfortable and safe in the African bush, cared for by nice and dedicated people with excellent food to soothe the bruises of a long day’s Safari with a good meal and good night’s sleep in the wilderness.
